Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day afloat repairs, lifesaving & fire-fighting inspections, and offshore projects
- Handle technical, operational, and commercial aspects of projects to ensure timely completion and quality standards
- Prepare quotations and project costing
- Raise requisitions for materials, tools, and equipment; coordinate with procurement team
- Issue POs to subcontractors and monitor repair teams/subcontractors for job execution
- Liaise with shipowners, managers, shipyards, agents, and other stakeholders
- Manage warehouse tools & equipment (including calibration)
- Coordinate logistics for engineers, team, tools & equipment to/from job sites
- Prepare and submit project documentation and certificates to clients; update ERP system
- Provide remote technical support to customers
- Support development of repair techniques, training, and team building
Requirements
- Diploma in Marine Engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of marine machinery and equipment is required
- At least 3 years’ related experience (shipyard or onboard ship preferred; afloat repair coordination advantageous)
- Strong communication skills with ability to work under pressure and outside office hours
- Bilingual in English & Mandarin (to liaise with China HQ counterparts)
